Obesity is change in physical condition of body, due to accumulation of  excessive body fat accumulation that  negatively impact health. Measured by  Body Mass Index (BMI), where a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese. Obesity lead to a variety of health issues like Cardiac disease, Type 2 diabetes, High blood pressure, Stroke, Certain cancers, Sleep apnea, Joint problems. Various factors responsible are Genetics – Family history (a. Fat cell growth (hypertrophy): As a person gains weight, existing fat cells grow larger to store more fat. b. Increased fat cell number (hyperplasia): In extreme cases of weight gain, especially during childhood or adolescence, the body can create new fat cells. Behavioral factors – High calory diet, lack of physical activity, and sedentary life style. Environmental factors – Access to healthy food, opportunities for exercise, and social influences. Medical conditions –  Hypothyroidism or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), can contribute to weight gain. Medications – Certain medications, such as antidepressants or corticosteroids, can lead to weight gain.
